On July 31, the tropical cloud cluster in the central waters of the South China Sea strengthened into a tropical depression in the South China Sea, with its center located at 16.9 degrees north latitude and 113.4 degrees east longitude, with a maximum wind force of level 7, 15 meters per second (about 54 kilometers per hour), and a distance from Hainan Province. About 440 kilometers southeast of Sanya City, the tropical depression is expected to make landfall or pass over the southern coast of Hainan Island around noon on August 1. Affected by this, the Qiongzhou Strait route will be suspended from 18:00 on July 31st.
