Doctors at university hospitals often work concurrently at other medical institutions in the area, and are indispensable for community medicine.
In order to maintain the medical system while keeping the working hours including those who hold concurrent positions below the upper limit, the research group needs to increase the number of staff up to 5.97 depending on the clinical department at the university hospital surveyed this time. Based on the results of this survey, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare will consider detailed system design for the introduction of the upper limit regulation four years later.
