Shang Yulan, Deputy Secretary-General of the Urumqi Municipal People’s Government, notified: From 0:00 to 24:00 on July 28, Urumqi reported 89 new confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia (43 of which were asymptomatic infections transferred to confirmed cases). There were 15 cases of symptomatic infection. As of 24:00 on July 28, there are currently 320 confirmed cases in Urumqi; 130 cases of asymptomatic infections have been reported.
Shang Yulan said that as the course of the disease progressed, some asymptomatic infections in the incubation period gradually developed clinical symptoms, or CT scans showed imaging manifestations of new coronary pneumonia, and became confirmed cases. "Therefore, among the newly reported confirmed cases today, none The proportion of symptomatic infections who were transferred to confirmed cases was relatively large, reaching 43; the number of asymptomatic infections has declined." Shang Yulan said.
Prior to this, as of 24:00 on the 27th, there were 162 cases of asymptomatic infection in Urumqi.
