United States, France, Canada ... More and more anti-masks - 20 Minutes
Dangerous, unnecessary, undemocratic, uncomfortable. For anti-masks its compulsory wearing is an aberration. In the United States, where Covid-19 has already killed more than 150,000 people, anti-mask protests are on the increase. Without masks, of course.
The reason ? Many states now require citizens to wear it on the streets and on public transport. As in Canada, England, Belgium, Quebec and France, where several decrees were introduced in July. The latest: the wearing of the compulsory mask in the shopping streets of Belgium, published on July 27.

If the wearing of a mask therefore seems to have become more democratic, a section of the population has decided to stand up against this piece of elasticated fabric. Party of the United States, where the vigil of a store, in Michigan, was killed, last May, by a customer refusing to wear his mask, the movement of the "antis" spread to the border countries, for then cross the Atlantic. In France, mandatory (sometimes conspiratorial) anti-mask Facebook groups have spread like wildfire.
But if no study proves the usefulness of wearing a mask, there is, today, a scientific consensus that it would help control the spread of the virus.
