Nara Prefecture and Nara City announced that it was newly confirmed that seven men and women in their 20s to 50s living in the prefecture were infected with the new coronavirus.
Two of them were college students, and each had contact with a different friend who had been confirmed to be infected.
With this, a total of 228 people were confirmed infected in Nara Prefecture.
