Shenggu's real name is Zhao Zhiqin. After graduating and coming to Hangzhou ten years ago, he worked as an art designer, product experiencer, and opened an Internet company. In a prosperous city, he found himself surrounded by anxiety and often insomnia. In order to help sleep, he began to find some natural sounds on the Internet, which is commonly referred to as white noise. But at that time, there were not many high-quality sound materials, and he began to think about recording some sounds by himself.
In 2013, he was inspired by a trip to the coast of Fujian. "It was around 4 o'clock in the morning. I was walking slowly on the beach. He decided to record this sound.
Back in Hangzhou, he collected recording tutorials from the Internet, and spent more than 4,000 yuan to buy a tape recorder, microphone, pick bar, and headphones. Apart from intense work, he will carry radio equipment on weekends, plunge into mountains and woods, approach lakes and streams, be a collector of natural sounds, and produce albums of natural sounds.
In 2015, he tried to upload the collected natural sounds to the Himalayas. In the past few years, Sound Valley now has more than 500,000 fans, and the total number of albums played has exceeded 80 million.
