The National Assembly votes to open the PMA to all women

The National Assembly again adopted Wednesday evening the opening of Medically Assisted Reproduction (PMA) to all women. This flagship measure of the bioethics bill was being examined at second reading. Above all, the government got what it wanted: a version of Article 1 of the law almost identical to that resulting from the first reading last October. The deputies thus again rejected post-mortem PMA, the opening to transgender men or even the donation of oocytes in a couple of women. 20 Minutes returns for you on the impassioned debates held since Tuesday in the hemicycle.

The coronavirus crisis will cost communities 7.3 billion in 2020

The finances of local authorities will suffer a negative impact of approximately 7.3 billion euros in 2020 due to the coronavirus crisis, estimates a report by deputy Jean-René Cazeneuve published on Wednesday. The latter also recommends support measures for 2021. The shock is caused by a drop in tax revenues (5.2 billion) and tariffs (2.3 billion) but also additional costs linked to the crisis (3.6 billion). ). The bill for the health crisis is therefore particularly steep.
