Tokyo Adachi Ward announced that two children attending a municipal elementary school have been confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus.
According to Adachi Ward, the infection with the new coronavirus was confirmed to be two girls in upper grades and lower grades attending a municipal elementary school, two of whom live together.
Both of them had a fever on the 18th of this month, and one of them went to school on the 21st due to recovery of their physical condition. On the 29th, the infection was confirmed.
It was the first time that an infection of children and faculty members was confirmed at this elementary school, and the elementary school contacted parents of other children to ask them to check the health status of the children.
At elementary schools, the school will be temporarily closed from the 30th of this month to the 1st of the next month, and the public health center will check for the presence of concentrated contacts.
