The Ministry of Justice has set up a new study group to discuss measures to enhance support for victims of crime, and is considering a system in which the state will assist lawyer expenses.

Regarding assistance to the country for crime victims, the Japan Judicial Assistance Center = Houterasu introduces lawyers to the victims and provides legal counseling. In order to do so, a new study group was established.
