"About infinity" (Om det oändliga)

The Swedish director Roy Andersson's film "On Infinity" is a collection of short stories that reflect reflections on human life with all its advantages and disadvantages. The stories are linked by the narrator - Scheherazade. Also, in all the stories there is a common character - a priest who has lost his faith.

According to the director, this picture was inspired by the cornucopia known from Greek mythology. In his film, Andersson tried to show all the beauty and fullness of life and demonstrate how wonderful it is to be human.

“This is a film about the infinite signs of existence,” says Roy Andersson.

The tape was first shown in the fall of 2019 at the Venice International Film Festival, where it received the Silver Lion for Best Director. Critics praised the film, noting the director's unique style and complex production. Many called "On Infinity" Andersson's most melancholic and touching film.
