The Syrian creator describes Dubai as the most suitable place for any artist who intends to develop his capabilities and implement his creative projects in various fields of arts, and achieve his dreams, revealing in her dialogue with «Emirates Today», about her experience and ambitions in the field of graphic art, which mixes plastic arts and contemporary digital arts.
Khawla said: “I know a lot about the details of life in Dubai due to my father’s work for many years, and my frequent visits to my sister, before I think about coming and settling in this city, which has proven to be one of the most important international capitals in the field of art, along with its ability to contain the creations of various forms creativity".
She added: "I was very happy to host me in the Dubai program this morning, which gave me the opportunity to express art of my thanks and gratitude to this city, which opened the doors of success in front of me."

The gratitude of the Emirates Khawla Abu Saleh does not stop at the borders of presenting an artistic painting that relied on its implementation on charcoal and chalk drawing techniques. About her academic study of the effects that the circumstances of the war in Syria led her to specialize in, after her inability to join the painting exam at the Faculty of Fine Arts in the capital, Damascus, Khawla said: “I was forced to choose a field far from my interests and inclinations, but I was able to find in the study of archeology the artistic and aesthetic aspect What I am looking for, but in return, I realized that the field of painting is the field that I must strive to make in the future. For this, I worked to develop my capabilities in the field, and I began spending most of my time in my own studio until I was able in 2014 to join the Faculty of Fine Arts as Exceptional, as university professors valued my work and made various notes. ”

Khawla's desire to express her talent in the field of painting, preceded her enrollment in many specialized courses, and then worked in the field of "graphic design" for more than three years, before she devoted in the last five years to the field of graphic art.
On the difference between it and the formation: She said: «Fine art has multiple schools and multiple methods, but I do not consider myself plastic, because I have not reached this basic stage yet, but a graphic artist is busy investing in famous techniques and methods. This is consistent with my desire to work on the origins of classical art. ”
On the most important techniques adopted in the field of collage art, Khawla describes her artworks as realistic, systematic and close to the academic atmosphere since they started in this framework in 2016, to move then to oil painting techniques and then go to academic painting techniques, clearly influenced by the academies of art in The United States and Europe, she added: “I follow the work of artists through (Instagram), and last year I had the opportunity to join the Florence Academy of Arts in Italy, as I was accepted to continue my studies and refine my talent, but the circumstances wanted me to move to Dubai, which I consider the place where dreams come true. ».
