A controversial new recruit at CNews. According to information from L'Obs on Monday, Eugénie Bastié will become an editorial writer on the continuous news channel from the start of the school year. The conservative journalist from Le Figaro , a young face of a hard right, is therefore leaving BFMTV.

CNews assumes its very right turn after the stormy arrival of Eric Zemmour last season. And the channel of the Canal + group does not stop there since it would have initiated discussions with Marion Maréchal. According to L'Obs , the former frontist MP has not yet made up his mind.

Last October, Canal + had recruited Eric Zemmour in the daily show Face à l'Info . And this, despite the intense controversy triggered by his very virulent speech on Islam and immigration delivered at the end of September at the Convention of the Right, and the confirmation in September of a judicial conviction for "incitement to hatred religious ”.
