Yesterday, 388 people were transferred to Prince Hussein Hospital in Ain al-Basha District, Jordan, after they were poisoned after eating ready meals.

The number of poisoning cases reached 388 as a result of eating ready meals from a restaurant.

The Jordanian "Ammon" news agency quoted the director of Prince Hussein Hospital in the Ain al-Basha district in Jordan, Muhammad al-Abed, as saying that five cases of intensive care had been entered in the hospital, while the rest of the cases were classified as intermediate, confirming the provision of treatment for all cases in various hospitals of the Ministry of Health.

He added that there are 44 cases that were discharged from hospitals, of which 33 were discharged from the hospital.

The restaurant, which sells shawarma and other fast food items, was closed after taking samples for testing. An investigation has been opened into the owner.
