In the middle of the summer, the concern of a second wave of coronavirus is growing day by day in France. Several epidemic outbreaks have been observed, particularly in Morbihan, have been noted by the authorities, who call on the population to be vigilant and to respect barrier measures and social distancing.

Beaches, parks and gardens prohibited in Quiberon, in Morbihan 

Due to the rapid evolution of the situation linked to the coronavirus in Quiberon, in Morbihan, the mayor Patrick Leroux has issued an order prohibiting the opening of beaches, parks and gardens in the evening. The ban has been in effect since Sunday evening, the prefecture announced. This decree follows the discovery of about fifty cases, mostly young people. "According to the investigations carried out by the Regional Health Agency and the Health Insurance, these 54 confirmed cases represent a young audience who have participated in private gatherings or in type establishments bars with very many social interactions", indicates Prefecture.

One of the clusters started from a nightclub in the city. This disco had arranged with the bans, transforming itself into a "night bar" in order to be able to open. A potential vaccine tested on a large scale 

A potential vaccine against Covid-19, developed by the American biotechnology company Moderna, is about to enter the last phase of its clinical trial. This experimental vaccine, which triggered antibodies against the coronavirus in the 45 participants in a first phase, can thus be tested from Monday on 30,000 people. 

The US government has pledged to increase its support for the development of this potential vaccine to nearly $ 1 billion. The United States has announced in recent months massive investments aimed at immunizing Americans from the beginning of next year.

Decrease in new contaminations in the United States, increase in China 

Worldwide, the pandemic continues to spread, with now more than 645,715 dead worldwide, according to a report established by AFP. At least 16 million cases have been officially diagnosed in 196 countries and territories. The United States is the country most affected with nearly 147,000 deaths, ahead of Brazil (87,004), the United Kingdom (45,738), Mexico (43,374) and Italy (35,102). Latin America and the Caribbean became the region of the world with the highest number of infections since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic on Sunday, i.e. 4.3 million cases. 

The United States, in fact, has finally recorded good news, with a clear drop in the number of new contaminations. The authorities have identified 56,000 cases in 24 hours, the lowest figure for two weeks. These new cases bring the total number of cases registered since the start of the epidemic in the country to 4.2 million. The death toll now stands at 146,909, including 518 deaths recorded in the past 24 hours. 

Conversely, China reported on Monday 61 new Covid-19 patients in 24 hours, the largest daily increase since mid-April, after the appearance of outbreaks of infection in three provinces.
