Both vehicles were burned down. An administrative building was also blackened by the fire. In the night from Sunday to Monday, two gendarmerie vehicles were set on fire within the Pornic barracks, in Loire-Atlantique, we learned from the gendarmes.

An investigation was opened "to determine the circumstances" of the incident. According to Ouest-France , a third “civilian” vehicle which was in the barracks was also burned. This is not the first time that gendarmerie vehicles have gone up in smoke in the area. In the neighboring town of Saint-Brévin-les-Pins, similar events took place in February and June. In the last episode, the criminal track is clearly privileged. There too, an investigation is underway.

In mid-May, a fifty-something who would have maintained difficult relations with the gendarmerie had been indicted after the fire of two vehicles in the enclosure of the barracks of the gendarmerie of Nivillac (Morbihan).
