During his lifetime, the actor Hassan Brijany managed to participate in several Swedish TV and film productions, including the film adaptation of Jonas Hassan Khemiris' "One Eye Red". Director Daniel Wallentin remembers him warmly.

- He was fantastic in many ways. He could be like a big and powerful bear and at the same time so warm and compassionate that you just wanted to hug him for no reason. An incredibly nice person, he says to Kulturnyheterna.

Hassan Brijany played the role of the main character Halim's father, and was awarded a golden beetle for best supporting actor.

- He had a comic talent, but the essence of our film was the seriousness of the story - and it really carried Hassan up. He was absolutely crucial in establishing that seriousness in the film, says Daniel Wallentin.

For the director, Hassan Brijany was not just the father

the film, but also a fatherly figure on the set. Daniel Wallentin was only 25 years old when he directed One Eye Red.

- Hassan's authority and generosity meant a lot to me. It felt like having a dad on the set.

"Nice and talented colleague"

The film also marked the breakthrough for actor Evin Ahmad, who played the role of Yasmin.

“I first saw him work when I was 15 years old during the filming of One Eye Red . Then he was an incredibly warm and funny person who made the recording a wonderful place. In 2008 I saw him win a golden beetle for best supporting actor and then I thought it was so cool that someone who looked like my own dad could win a prize in a Swedish TV competition. It is a great sadness that he passed away so young and had many great roles left to play. " she writes to Kulturnyheterna.

Hassan Brijany also appeared in the popular LasseMajas detective agency films, where he starred with, among others, colleague Alexandra Rapaport:

"He was a nice and talented colleague, friendly as few. So incredibly sad to hear that he passed away, far too soon. ” she writes to Kulturnyheterna.
