Former Tiger King Park owner Joe Exotic currently in jail for attempted murder - PictureLux / Starface

Jeff Lowe, who took over the zoo from Joe Exotic alias Tiger King, is in the sights of the USDA. The United States Department of Agriculture, which notably ensures respect for animal welfare, has inspected the animal park located in Oklahoma, and the findings are not glowing. Not only would reptiles be mistreated there, but lions, tigers and other bears would not receive the necessary veterinary care.

For example, a lion cub by the name of Nala was reportedly found lethargic, depressed, and so thin he was unable to stand up. Authorities directly removed him from the park, according to TMZ, for a vet to take care of him. But Jeff Lowe has no shortage of excuses.

Jeff Lowe can explain it all

For the owner of GW Exotic Animal Park, USDA inspectors have been overzealous. In addition, Jeff Lowe explains very well the declining health of certain animals. “Many of the animals we house are at the end of their life and have arthritis and are losing weight. In addition, he says his park has received five USDA visits previously and without a hitch. The park would therefore suffer from the negative image caused by the Tiger King series and would be the victim of a fierce attack from the authorities. Anyway, Jeff Lowe would have done what was necessary to resolve the shortcomings noticed since this last visit on June 22.
