  At around 6 o'clock on July 25, 2020, most areas of Maoxian County, Aba Prefecture, Sichuan Province suffered heavy rainfall. There was a flash flood and debris flow in some areas of Jiaoyuan Village, Weimen Town, and Fengyi Town. Roads were interrupted and power supply was paralyzed. 14 farm houses, gas stations, etc. were damaged to varying degrees. The mudslide has caused one person to lose contact. The local fire rescue team was dispatched urgently to carry out rescue operations.

  At 6:25, the Maoxian Fire Rescue Brigade received a dispatch from the Detachment Command Center that a mudslide occurred in the Zhaixigou Group, Jiaoyuan Village, Weimen Town, Maoxian County. The brigade immediately dispatched 3 vehicles and 8 people from the fire station to the scene for disposal. At 6:50, after arriving at the scene, after on-site survey and questioning, the section of National Highway 213 in Zahixigou was washed away by mountain torrents and mudslides, and many villagers’ houses were washed away and vehicles were stranded. Due to the heavy rainfall, the mountain is still in danger of further collapse. The commander immediately organized rescuers to use the life-saving equipment they carried to carry out rescue operations, clearing and dredging the wood, vehicles, and silt accumulated on the road, assisting the villagers to complete the evacuation, and the fire rescue personnel. The inflatable boat evacuated the trapped people.

  At the same time, due to the flood and mud-rock flow disaster in the Zaixigou Village, Jiaoyuan Village, Weimen Town, the drinking water pools and pipelines were damaged, and the local people had difficulty drinking water. The county party committee and the county government dispatched the firefighters to the people in Zaoxi Valley, Jiaoyuan Village, Weimen Town. Water delivery.
