From July 18 to 21, heavy rain fell in Hefei City, Anhui Province. Lujiang County suffered a once-in-a-century flood. The water levels of many rivers exceeded historical peaks. After 49 hours of full search and rescue, a body was found in the water about 2.3 kilometers downstream of the incident on the afternoon of the 24th. The DNA comparison of public security organs confirmed that Comrade Chen Lu had died heroically on the 26th.
