The immersed tube tunnel is about 6.8 kilometers long and is the world's first two-way eight-lane steel shell concrete immersed tube tunnel.

  The immersed tube tunnel is composed of 32 tube sections, of which, the E32 tube section is the first non-standard tube section of the project tunnel, which is connected to the island head weir construction section of the East Artificial Island. The E32 pipe section is 123.8 meters long, gradually widened from 53.6 meters wide to 55.46 meters, and 10.6 meters high. It has the technical characteristics of "ultra wide and widening".
