The Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population said that the cloth mask should be washed before wearing it for the first time.
The ministry added that it should be washed at a temperature of no less than 70 degrees Celsius for a period of not less than half an hour and dried in the sunlight after washing it, and then ironing it, according to the Sky News website.
On the other hand, the American Center for Epidemiology and Prevention said that the use of cloth masks helps to slow the spread of the virus, especially in public places where it is difficult to maintain precautionary measures such as grocery stores, pharmacies and transportation.
The American Center warned against using 4 categories of "cloth muzzle", recommending that it not be applied to children under the age of two or anyone suffering from breathing, unconscious, incapable or unable to remove the muzzle without assistance.
