Gifu Prefecture announced on the 25th that four males in their twenties, including university students living in Gifu City and Seki City, were newly confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus. The number of confirmed infections in Gifu Prefecture has reached 220.
New infections were confirmed in all men in their twenties, with a total of four employees, including a company employee living in Gifu City, one student in Gifu City attending Chubu Gakuin University, and two students in Seki City.
According to Gifu Prefecture, among them, the students of Chubu Gakuin University of Gifu City are examined as rich contacts because they belong to the same sports department as the boy student in Seki City who announced the confirmation of the infection on the 24th. The infection was confirmed on the 25th. Two students in Seki City were also examined because they belonged to the same sports club, and infection was confirmed on the 25th.
At Chubu Gakuin University, 128 students and faculty members will be examined, and the results of all of them will be available on the 26th.
On the other hand, a man in his twenties living in Gifu City had symptoms of fever and cough after 23rd of this month, and the infection was confirmed as a result of the examination on the 24th.
Men use public transportation to work outside the prefecture, and the route of infection is unknown. According to the prefecture, none of the four have severe symptoms.
