According to the police, at around 4:30 pm on the 24th, a local bus collided with a boy of elementary school age at the intersection in front of the municipal subway center Minami station in Tsuzuki-ku, Yokohama.
The boy was taken to the hospital unconscious, but was confirmed dead approximately two hours later.
The police arrested Seiya Sasaki (44) who was driving the bus on the spot on suspicion of negligent driving injury, and is investigating the situation of the accident in detail.
