The Tokyo Metropolitan Government announced that it has confirmed that a total of four nurses and doctors have been infected with the new coronavirus at the Tokyo Metropolitan Children's Medical Center in Fuchu City. In response to this, the hospital decided to stop accepting new patients from the child lifesaving center from the 24th for the time being.

At Tokyo Metropolitan Children's Medical Center, infections were confirmed in
a total of 4 female nurses in their 20s and 30s and a female doctor in their 30s who work in the intensive care unit for children = PICU.

According to the city, one of the nurses complained of symptoms such as headache and fever on the 21st of this month, and a positive PCR test was found on the 24th.

At the hospital, PCR tests were performed on all 30 of the 29 staff and one patient who had contact with the nurse, and the other three were found to be positive.

In addition, 14 patients who were hospitalized in PICU after 18th of this month were also subjected to 24-day PCR test, but they were all negative.

The hospital will hold 15 doctors and nurses, who are four concentrated contacts who have been confirmed to be infected, at home for 14 days from the date of contact.

For this reason, the hospital decided to cut back some medical functions from the 24th for the time being, such as stopping accepting new patients at the Children's Lifesaving Center.
