The Champions League is back on TF1 earlier than expected. The channel has reached an agreement with the group Altice to broadcast the final of the competition on August 23. A surprise for viewers, who should not find the European competition on the channel before 2022. For its part, RMC Sport, current broadcaster of the Champions League, will also offer the match for its subscribers.

As a reminder, in 2019, the final of the Champions League was broadcast on BFMTV, despite the warning from the CSA. The Superior Council of Audiovisual had indeed considered incompatible the diffusion of this match with the convention of the news channel.

Bixente Lizarazu and Grégoire Margotton in comments

The final will take place in Lisbon at 9 p.m. on August 23, and will therefore be commented on by Bixente Lizarazu and Grégoire Margotton. If the poster for this match is obviously still unknown, two French clubs can still claim the title: Olympique Lyonnais who will play in the round of 16 second leg against Juventus (August 7), and PSG, already qualified for the quarter-finals.
