  It is understood that this year, Jiangxi Province will enter the flood season on March 28. Since the flood season, Jiangxi has been hit by many rounds of heavy rains. Especially from July 6 to 10, continuous regional rains to heavy rains occurred in central and northern Jiangxi. The Poyang Lake area and the Raohe, Xiuhe, Xinjiang and other basins have several times. Numbered floods and super-warning floods occurred, and the water levels at multiple sites were even over guaranteed, over 1998, and over historical water levels. The flood disasters were serious.

  The relevant person in charge of the Jiangxi Meteorological Observatory said that this year's flood season precipitation has strong extremes, high overlap of rain bands, strong disasters, more precipitation in the north and less in the south, heavy cumulative rainfall, long rainfall concentration period, and heavy floods.

  According to statistics, from March 28th to July 21st, the cumulative precipitation in Jiangxi Province was 1025.0 mm, 2.2% more than the same period in history. Among them, the average in northern Jiangxi is 1157.6 mm, which is 3.4% higher; the average in central Jiangxi is 1015.1 mm, which is 2.2% higher; the average in southern Jiangxi is 667.4 mm, which is 1.4% lower. The precipitation is more in the north and less in the south, but the accumulated rainfall is large. There were 97 heavy rainstorm stations in the province, 56 more stations than the other, the second most frequent rainstorm in the same period since 1961 and second only to 1998.

  Among them, since June 30, the heavy rain belt has been stable and less moving, mainly swinging between northern Jiangxi and central Jiangxi. The heavy rains in northern Jiangxi have a high degree of overlap and a high risk of disaster.

  During the heavy rain from July 6th to 10th, Jiangxi experienced heavy regional rainstorms for 3 consecutive days (the number of stations with daily rainfall greater than 100 mm exceeded 10 stations), and the total number of stations reached 60 stations, the highest in history since 1961. In northern Jiangxi, 17 counties and cities in central Jiangxi exceeded the maximum value in July, and 10 counties and cities exceeded the annual maximum value.

  According to the latest news from the emergency management department of Jiangxi Province, according to local reports, as of 17:00 on the 23rd, the flood disasters that began on July 6 included 10 districts and cities including Nanchang, Jingdezhen, Jiujiang, and Shangrao, and a total of 99 counties in Ganjiang New District.
