[Explanation] In the past, 46 people in 4 vehicles filled the world looking for garbage, but now a drone can do all the work of 46 people in a week, and the quality is high. This is the current portrayal of Jiayuguan City in Gansu Province. In order to help create a city, Jiayuguan City began to rectify the urban and rural environmental sanitation in 2017. After a year of rectifying the environment, there is no garbage, no smell, and no mess in the field of vision.

[Explanation] In 2018, Jiayuguan introduced third-party drone aerial photography to help environmental governance. A drone can fly all over the city of Jiayuguan in one week, upload the captured content to the APP in the form of videos and photos, and the staff can identify and confirm the garbage dumping point and remove it accurately.

[Explanation] Zhao Zhigang, head of the Jiayuguan City’s Global Garbage-Free Office, recently introduced to a reporter from China News Agency that some garbage is blocked by people, and some garbage is invisible on the ground, and it is difficult to see when it is placed on the roof or surrounded by drones. Shooting without blind spots.

The first one is to save time. Our inspectors don't have to waste time finding places on the road. The second is that it saves money, because it turns out that we have four inspection teams that require four vehicles, and it may not be enough to fly a drone in a month. The third point is that we can find places that we can't find because it is overlooked from the air, so there may be no rubbish in our field of vision, but there may still be rubbish on the roof or in the courtyard. This situation can be compensated by the appearance of drones. A very big shortcoming. Another point is that drones also expose many situations of covering garbage and burying garbage in our field of vision.

[Explanation] Since the beginning of this year, Jiayuguan has conducted a re-examination of all 146 irregular garbage spots detected by remote sensing satellites and 318 garbage spots photographed by drones. Zhao Zhigang said that drone shooting will be compared with reference objects. Now the layout and color of farmers’ houses are almost the same. Before using remote sensing satellites to find garbage spots, the photos taken can’t tell where the specific spots are, so join the drone joint inspection. It's easy to find garbage, because the drone has a clear flight path, has a freeze frame, and has the advantage of not being faked.

I think it’s closer to the reality of our work, and it avoids a lot of errors that would occur in the past, and the occurrence of fraud, and another advantage of the drone is that the photos uploaded to the system are located with GPS. The uploaded rectification photos should also have GPS positioning, which can effectively avoid the occurrence of fraud.

[Explanation] In recent years, Jiayuguan has aimed at the creation of a civilized city, and has regularly carried out large-scale inspections of safe and civilized construction sites at the construction sites of Jiayuguan City. In the past three years, a total of 598 illegal activities such as dust pollution, spilling and omission, and unauthorized dumping of construction waste have been investigated and handled. It processed 1,670,800 tons of construction waste.
