If there was no postponement due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection, the opening ceremony of the Tokyo Olympic Games was scheduled to be held from 8 pm on the 24th. At this time, the Japan Youth Chamber launched fireworks at various locations in collaboration with fireworks companies throughout Japan.

This was planned by the Japan Chamber of Commerce in hopes that it would start a new life even in Corona, in cooperation with fireworks companies throughout the country, and the opening ceremony of the Tokyo Olympics was originally planned. Fireworks were launched all around the country from 8 pm on the 24th.

Of these, in Tokyo and Akishima, 60 fireworks lit up the night sky over a minute and a half while it was lightly raining.

As a measure against the new coronavirus, the launch was done without publicizing the place in advance to prevent crowds of spectators, and people who passed by stopped when they noticed the fireworks and looked up at the brightly lit sky, smartphone I used to take pictures of fireworks.

A woman in her 40s who watched fireworks with her family said, "The one and a half minute fireworks I saw during this difficult time with the new coronavirus are exceptional and I will never forget it. It's a pity, but I hope we can hold it next year."
