[Commentary] The person in the picture is named Gong Leifeng, 27 years old this year. He is a graduate student at Huazhong University of Science and Technology and the founder of a company. Recently, the Wuhan region finals of the 2020 China-US Youth Maker Competition came to an end. Gong Leifeng and his team stood out with the multi-functional underwater robot project and will represent the Wuhan region in the national finals.

[Explanation] On July 22, the reporter came to Gong Leifeng's company and saw that this multi-functional underwater robot is only the size of a computer case, and it can be easily carried by an adult, and it looks like an unmanned aircraft.

This is our underwater robot. This is our propeller. This is the searchlight. Then there are some sensors underneath. The front one is equipped with a high-definition camera. This is a light. Then it is similar to an underwater. UAV, it uses 8 drivers, two of the above, and then there are drivers on the left and right, it can be controlled in full attitude, it can be 1080 degrees underwater, that is, any angle, both You can control a movement, and then we can mount some dedicated sensors below to meet different needs.

[Explanation] Gong Leifeng's entrepreneurial team is composed of more than 30 PhD, master and undergraduate students. According to Gong Leifeng, the core technology of this multifunctional underwater robot is that it can achieve higher definition of underwater image imaging, and the positioner can quickly transmit position. Its maximum diving depth can reach 500 meters.

This is our current water depth, which is a depth of 500 meters and a depth of 300 meters. It is equivalent to a fat man of more than 500 catties on every inch of your skin, who is dancing ballet on tiptoes. A concept.

[Explanation] Gong Leifeng said that it can perform fine operations underwater, and has applications in fish farming, underwater archaeology, waterway improvement, ship inspection, and safe search and rescue.

Our current words are hope that our underwater robots can solve more engineering problems, can solve more scenarios, an actual detection, and the actual needs of engineering, that is, one of my always thoughts is, I hope that our underwater robots can be used in more scenarios in the future, can solve more problems, and have more functions.

[Explanation] It is understood that the total value of the global underwater robot market in 2019 reached 3.1 billion US dollars.
