“My employer explained that he fired me because he had come to the conclusion that I had failed to respect the company's code of conduct during my career with the company. My employer did not mention accusations of sexual assault among the reasons for my dismissal, ”says Stone Chin.

Sexual assault charges

An employee of Ubisoft assures that the leader had sexually assaulted her in 2012. The former director evokes “an evening of consented intimacy which was not until complete sexual intercourse”. He explains, however, that this woman told him that she felt "objectified" but thought that they had since been "reconciled". “I reject this accusation,” says Stone Chin.

“My employer investigated these claims for years and never informed me that he found out I had made a mistake,” he wrote. A tweet relayed by Numerama however brings together testimonies qualifying Stone Chin as a “sexual predator”, deploring that the latter is “protected” and speaking of his “questionable” behavior.

A dismissal due to his "management style"?

Stone Chin made amends today. “I haven't always reflected on how my actions might be felt when interacting with women in this industry,” he admits. I apologize for my ignorance of the daily struggles women face in many respects. I will improve myself. "

The former director of public relations at Ubisoft nevertheless remains convinced that his dismissal is due to his "management style", which his employer described to him as based on "passive aggressiveness, disrespectful language [...] and coldness with colleagues ".
