"Carving and Painting the Universe-Chaozhou Wood Carving Exhibition" recently opened at the National Museum. More than 160 exhibits (sets) from the collections of Guangdong Museum, Chaozhou Museum and National Museum of China are on display, including works by Ming and Qing dynasties and modern masters. The fine works of Chaozhou woodcarving, the works of contemporary famous Chaozhou woodcarving masters, and some cultural relics reflecting Chaoshan culture, present the artistic characteristics of Chaozhou woodcarving integrating carving, lacquer art, gilding and other techniques.
