Classified among the most beautiful beaches in the world by several foreign media, the Ile Vierge beach, on the Crozon peninsula, in Finistère, is prohibited from access. The Breton municipality has issued a decree in order to protect this fragile site but also to avoid regrouping on this small paradisiacal sandbank. Posted at the entrance to the wild site, the decree did not stop everyone. On Wednesday, 49 minutes were drawn up for non-compliance, specifies the city of Crozon on its Facebook page. Last week, 200 people had already been evacuated from the protected site.

The operation was carried out by the municipal police, supported by the gendarmerie and the coastal guards. No access by land but also by sea, the paradisiacal beach was well attended on this sunny Wednesday. In total, 49 tickets of 135 euros were made.

The municipal by-law aims to preserve the site, in particular because of a security risk linked to falling rocks and dangerous access by the cliff. But the town hall also wants to enforce the physical distancing essential to the fight against the coronavirus epidemic.
