Director Kheiron. - PJB / SIPA

No dark rooms for Kheiron. Originally slated for a July 1 release, Brutus vs César , the director and comedian's third film, will not be released in theaters. As reported by Le Parisien this Thursday, Kheiron's feature film will land directly on Amazon Prime Video on September 18. A decision linked to the coronavirus crisis, and to fears about its impact on cinema attendance.

"The real question for us is to release the film where it is most likely to be defended," Kheiron explained daily. I am the author and the director, but the millions of euros, it was not me who invested them, it is normal to want to find a solution so that everyone can find their way around, recover their costs and that the film be seen as much as possible. Before him, the film Forte , directed by Katia Lewkowicz, had followed the same path last April.

The opportunity to get a first idea of this humorous peplum which revisits the assassination of Caesar by his son Brutus, and its five-star cast: Thierry Lhermitte, Ramzy Bédia, Reem Kherici, Bérangère Krief or even Gérard Darmon.
