At 11:50 on July 22, the Duan Anyang Fire Station of the Hechi City Fire Rescue Detachment of Guangxi received an alarm saying that a vehicle fell off a cliff in Shangwen Village, Jingsheng Township, Duan Yao Autonomous County, and some people were trapped. After receiving the police, Anyang Fire Station dispatched a rescue formation, 2 fire trucks, and 12 firefighters to the scene for disposal.
Due to the rugged mountain roads and the distance from Duan County, rescuers from Duan Anyang Fire Station arrived at the scene at 13:10 that day and quickly launched rescue operations. The on-site commander found that a 5-person pickup truck fell into a cliff about 70 meters deep. One person was thrown out of the vehicle and one person was trapped in the vehicle. Another 3 people have been rescued by the police and the masses at the scene, 2 of them were injured and 1 had no vital signs.
Immediately, Duan Anyang Fire Station immediately launched rescue, and all the trapped persons were rescued at 13:50. Confirmed by the on-site medical staff, the accident caused 3 deaths and 2 injuries.
