“Today, we are taking an important step by announcing the first majority female-owned team. I am very excited for this opportunity to join this incredible group of people to bring a professional football team to Los Angeles, ”she said in a statement relayed by CNN.
Among the owners of this new formation, we will also note the presence of America Ferrera, Jennifer Garner, Jessica Chastain, among others, as well as football stars like Mia Hamm, Julie Foudy and Abby Wambach.
The squad does not yet have an official name but is expected to make its debut on the pitch in spring 2021.

“I just gave up on returning to normal life right away because it seemed unrealistic to me. I remember posting pictures right after and I was still wearing my hospital underwear because I was stealing everything I could. Serena was patient with herself and yet had to go back to playing tennis. So, between the support of my friends, and the promise I had made to myself, I was like, “There is no rush”. And 14 months later, I'm still in no rush. Some might think I'm in my second trimester. I am not joking. I don't feel ashamed at all about that, ”she revealed.
