The streaming service confirmed in May that it would produce the romantic drama in eight episodes, in which, among others, the Turkish film star Özge Özpirincci would participate. But after Turkish authorities - because the series contains a homosexual character - refused to issue a permit for the television recording, Netflix has now withdrawn from production.
