At 10:39 am on July 21st, low buildings near the river bank in Ganghu Village, Youdunjie Town, Poyang County, Shangrao City, Jiangxi Province were flooded due to the inflow of the river. The Quanzhou and Ningde Detachments of the Fujian Fire Rescue Corps led by local village officials entered Ganghu Village to conduct investigations one by one and persuade the stranded villagers at home.

In a three-story brick-concrete structure, the water has been flooded to a depth of about 2 meters. A 79-year-old old man who was washing clothes was unwilling to evacuate with his wife and granddaughter because he was worried about the theft of his family properties. After a long period of persuasion, two elderly people and one girl put on life jackets and evacuated to the resettlement site together.
