Online shopping platform: 3800 yuan after unfolding without payment

A reporter from the Beijing Youth Daily searched on a treasure website and found three works of Zhao Zhongxiang's calligraphy and painting. Among them, a seller named "Jingyun Painting Garden" sold Zhao Zhongxiang's "Five Donkeys" online at a price of 3800 yuan. The platform shows There is only 1 item in stock and currently 0 people are paying. When the reporter contacted the seller and asked about the source of the painting, she claimed that it was obtained through a friend who worked in an art association. When the reporter asked if the price could be better, the seller said, "It can't be lower anymore. I'm already selling at a discount of 38,000 yuan from the original price."

A reporter from the Beijing Youth Daily also noticed from a certain treasure online that there was a shop selling the word "Fu" written by Zhao Zhongxiang during his lifetime, with a price tag of 688 yuan, and the inventory showed 17 items. The seller said that as an intermediary, when he met a client who wanted Zhao Zhongxiang's calligraphy and painting, and took a photo with him, he would introduce the client to Zhao Zhongxiang's "contact".

"These words "Fu" were given to me by many customers I introduced one after another, one or two pieces at a time, and I accumulated more. The last online transaction was when Teacher Zhao was alive last year. "The seller said, "As for the value of his work, will there be opportunities for appreciation in the future. Buy it if you like it, if you know it, don't buy it if you don't understand it."

Insiders: Don't chase celebrity effect collections

Due to the impact of the epidemic and the lagging nature of the auction market, it is impossible to determine the direct impact of Zhao Zhongxiang’s death on his calligraphy and painting works in the auction market, so it is currently impossible to prove the so-called "pitfall investors". But the storms caused by Zhao Zhongxiang's paintings and calligraphy can still arouse public reflection. Many experts and scholars and practitioners in the art field have also seen the hidden dangers.

Regarding the artistic level and market auction price of Zhao Zhongxiang's paintings and calligraphy in his lifetime, Wang Wenying, deputy director of the Central Academy of Painting and Calligraphy of the Jiu San Society, said in an interview with a reporter from the Beijing Youth Daily that this is a typical celebrity effect. It takes art as capital to operate, and the public's perception of art is too different, and there is no effective evaluation mechanism corresponding to the art level and market price, so it will be chaotic. If the people want value for painting and calligraphy, they must improve their artistic cognition, not blindly follow the celebrity effect of society, but also understand art appreciation.

Some experts believe that those Zhao Zhongxiang paintings and calligraphy and paintings sold on the online shopping platform may have been made for entertainment, and the value is not high. The buyer’s purpose is not for value investment or art collection, but to chase Zhao Zhongxiang’s celebrity effect, so It’s hard to talk about miserable investors, but it’s a lesson for speculators.
