It is again the war between Mickey Rourke and Robert De Niro ... even if apparently, the actor of Taxi Driver is not entirely aware.

In a very upset Instagram post, the actor from The Wrestler addressed his colleague, going so far as to threaten him physically. The reason ? Robert De Niro would have called him a liar ...

"Hey Robert De Niro, yeah, I’m talking to you, kind of bitchy put * in." A friend told me that a few months ago, you told a newspaper that Mickey Rourke is a liar and that he tells a story. Hear me tough guy in the movies, you're the first to call me a liar and you do it in the press. I'm going to say something, you garbage, when I see you, I swear on God and my grandmother, my brother and all my dogs that if I see you I will humiliate you severely, 100% ", a he wrote, before signing "Mickey Rourke, with God as a witness".

A story that dates

Mickey Rourke has a tenacious bitterness against his colleague, whom he revealed in 2019 in an interview in Italy for Live - Non è la d'Urso. At the time, he explained that on the set of Angel Heart , the thriller of Alan Parker released in 1987, Robert De Niro treated him with contempt and even refused to let him touch him for a scene that required physical contact between the two stars. The hatred between the two men had not subsided despite the years and according to Mickey Rourke, the star of Raging Bull would have even made him lose a role in The Irishman , the latest film to date by Martin Scorsese. "The casting manager told my manager that Robert De Niro refused to work with me," he said, adding, "I don't look at Robert De Niro with admiration anymore, I look at him with contempt."

Robert De Niro, for his part, has not yet reacted to this new provocation. He had not reacted publicly to the previous ones ...
