No question of filling your pool or washing your car with water. While since July 7, the department of Haute-Vienne has been on the alert for drought, the prefect of the department has just taken measures after the worsening of the situation, the flows of most watercourses having crossed the thresholds of a crisis situation.

He therefore called on users to moderate their consumption and issued a decree limiting certain uses of water. Watering lawns, vegetable gardens or green spaces is prohibited from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. The washing of public or private vehicles, except specialized washing stations with recycling circuit, is also it, like the emptying and the filling of the swimming pools, except the leveling.

Controls carried out

Apart from health requirements, there is no question of washing the sidewalks, public roads, terraces or other urban furniture.

To ensure that these various measures are respected, the prefecture announces checks by officials of the water police and law enforcement agencies will exercise.
