During this period, the research vessel did not respond to the request to stop the activities requested by the Japan Coast Guard patrol boat, and repeatedly used things such as observation equipment into the sea and pulled it up with a wire.

Then, it was confirmed that it was outside the body of water from about 370 km south-southwest of Okinotorishima around 5:30 pm on the 18th.

The activity lasted for more than 9 days, the longest in the last 10 years for Chinese vessels to operate without consent in this area.
