The current status of accommodation for new type corona accommodation in Tokyo is 6:20 on July 20.

Tokyo has been renting multiple hotels since April this year in order to treat people who are infected with the new coronavirus but who are mild or asymptomatic, and at one time, up to 1100 people at 5 hotels. We had a system in place to accept. However, four of these hotels have already expired or will expire at the end of this month.

In addition to one hotel in Hachioji City, which has been accepting infected people since May 1, the city has also started accepting one hotel near JR Ikebukuro Station in Toshima Ward from this month.

According to the capital city, as of the 19th, the two hotels have a total of 136 medical treatments, and a maximum of 100 people can stay in Hachioji city, where 53 people and 110 people can stay in Toshima Ward. The hotel has 83 guests.

On the other hand, there are 362 people who are receiving medical treatment at home, and there are 613 people whose public health centers are coordinating medical institutions to be hospitalized and hotels to be treated.

Regarding this, a person in charge of the city said, ``The number of infected people has increased sharply this month, but it is true that the number of temporarily available rooms has decreased due to the deadline of the hotel contract. Now, since the infection situation in Tokyo is unpredictable, we are working on securing the necessary number of guest rooms."

Tokyo is planning to increase the number of hotels by one and start accepting them from the 23rd of this month, and is proceeding with coordination with business operators to secure more accommodation facilities.
