JR West "Panda Kuroshio" new vehicle release July 19 14:37

As the national consumption promotion measure "Go To Travel" starts from 22nd of this month, a car with the design of a panda will be added to the limited express train "Kuroshio" of JR West, which travels to sightseeing spots in Osaka, Kyoto and Wakayama. It was released on the 19th.

"Panda Kuroshio" was jointly designed by the adventure park "Adventure World" in Shirahama-cho, Wakayama Prefecture, which is known for breeding JR West and giant pandas, in an effort to attract tourists. Published at the city facility.

A large panda's face is wrapped on the front of the vehicle, and a child's panda is on the head.

Like the previous "Panda Kuroshio", the head cover of the seat is decorated with pandas, and it feels like the pandas will welcome you when you get on.

The new vehicle will start operation as a limited express "Kuroshio" that connects Shirahama and Shingu, a tourist destination in Wakayama prefecture with Osaka and Kyoto, from the public holiday on the 23rd of this month.

“Go To Travel”, a national consumption stimulus plan, will start on the 22nd, but the new coronavirus infection is spreading again.

JR West is calling for its use after thoroughly implementing infection control measures such as anti-virus processing on the vehicle.

Takashi Kadan, the head of JR West Japan Wakayama Sales Department, said, "I have concerns about the new coronavirus, but I would like you to get on board with confidence and come to Wakayama."
