As of July 17, a total of 130,648 acres of yellow locust bamboo locust occurred in Yunnan, with a severity of 1,030 acres. The occurrence area involved 23 townships in 5 counties in 3 states (cities) in Pu'er, Banna and Honghe.
Among them, Lvchun County, Honghe Prefecture reported for the first time on 16th that the yellow-spine bamboo locust moved in, with an area of 360 acres. There was no new area on the 17th, and the task of foreign migration prevention is still relatively heavy.
As of the 17th, Yunnan Province has mobilized a total of 45 plant protection drone groups, carried out 3246 flight defense operations, invested 7736 sprayers, and dispatched 42106 people to prevent and control the invasion of the yellow-spine bamboo locust; the cumulative control area of the province is 167762 Mu (including repeated control area).
The working group said that at present, the situation of the yellow ridge bamboo locust in Yunnan is under control. But in the next few days, there is still the possibility of the spread of the yellow ridge bamboo locust, and the pressure for prevention and control continues to increase. (Finish)
