After receiving the report, I rushed to the scene of the disease control center in Xicheng District overnight to understand the situation. We must first isolate this case, then find his close contacts, and touch every place he has visited in detail. It was the most difficult to find the source of the infection, because Beijing had no new cases reported for 56 consecutive days, and this patient had no history of going out or contacting, and appeared very strange.
We have to lock the scope of infection in the shortest time. We didn't sleep all night, immediately reported to the city, arranged epidemiological investigations and sampling, and quickly divided the work for everyone. Everyone in the city's CDC took action and checked every place the patient had visited, and finally locked the Xinfadi wholesale market in less than 22 hours.
Beiqing Daily: When the epidemic source was the wholesale market of Xinfa, what did you think?
Pang Xinghuo: I feel the complexity of disposal, because this is the Xinfa wholesale market, which is too large. It is a national agricultural and sideline product trading market, with very large personnel mobility and a wide range of mobility. The difficulty of prevention and control and the arduous tasks we face are no less than the previous epidemic. In fact, the disease control personnel were very tired at the time.
