China News Network, Hangzhou, July 17 (Reporter Zhang Yuhuan) On the 17th, the reporter learned from the Zhejiang Meteorological Observatory that Zhejiang will officially end the 50-day plum rainy season of "ultra-long standby" on the 18th. The average rainfall in the province is 548 mm, exceeding the average annual rainfall 82%. According to estimates, during the Meiyu period in Zhejiang, the water volume of nearly 4,000 West Lakes was dropped.

This year Zhejiang started plum on May 29, and plum on July 18. The plum period lasted for 50 days. From 8:00 on May 29 to 15:00 on July 17, the average rainfall in Zhejiang province was 548 mm, including 873 mm in Quzhou, 795 mm in Huzhou, and 783 mm in Hangzhou.

Liu Hanhua, chief forecaster of the Zhejiang Meteorological Observatory, said that the Meiyu season was mainly characterized by early plum blossoms, long plum seasons, overlapping heavy rainfall areas, and a large total amount of plum rains. It experienced 9 rounds of heavy rainfall. The first to third rounds of heavy rainfall overlapped in western Zhejiang, the fourth to seventh rounds of heavy rainfall mainly occurred in central and northern Zhejiang, and the eighth and ninth rounds of heavy rainfall mainly occurred in northern Zhejiang.

"The main reason for the formation of the "long standby" Meiyu season is the confluence of cooling and heating flows. The warm and humid airflow outside the subtropical high pressure and the cold air activities in the north are very active. The long-term intersection between Jianghuai and Jiangnan is the long duration of Meiyu in Zhejiang. Reason." Liu Hanhua said.

It is estimated that from the 18th, the Meiyu Belt will be carried north to the area between Jianghuai and Huanghuai. There will be no heavy rain in Zhejiang in the next 7 days. The Huzhou and Jiaxing areas are still at the southern edge of the rain belt. There are still many process precipitations. The other areas are mainly sunny and hot high temperature weather, and there are many thunderstorms in the afternoon. Some thunderstorm areas may be accompanied by strong convective weather such as short-time heavy rain and strong thunderstorms.

In terms of temperature, in the next seven days, Zhejiang will return to the high temperature of three days. The highest temperature in most parts of the province is 35-38℃, and the local maximum temperature is 39℃.

The meteorological department reminded that the Meiyu belt will remain in the area from Jianghuai to Huanghuai in the next seven days and swing from north to south. The water level in the Taihu Basin is currently high, and the flood control situation is still grim. It is necessary to continue to strengthen prevention. In addition, in some areas of Zhejiang, there will be thunderstorms in the afternoon. The adverse effects of strong convective weather such as short-term heavy rain and thunderstorms and strong winds. (Finish)
