In Good Singers , there is no competition and everyone is accepted. This is one of the reasons why Jarry accepted the proposal to hold the reins of the new TF1 game. At the end of June, the comedian put on the host's costume to record two sessions of this adapted musical program in a Turkish format.
The concept ? Two celebrity teams face twelve people. Among them, good and bad singers. In order to determine who is who, the stars will discover vocal or visual clues during the program. The better the investigators for one evening, the more they will increase the pool of their association. The candidates, they have nothing to gain, except their quarter of an hour of celebrity. "Good singers have the pleasure of singing as a bonus on TF1 and the others are players above all," says Jarry. They hold the microphone like professional singers to try to mislead celebrities. "

The anonymous version of Mask Singer ?
An investigation, more or less good singers, the presence of Jarry, some clues suggest that Good Singers is close to Mask Singer (well, even the title of the show is almost the same). The difference is at the casting level, but also the rhythm. At the end of last year, Camille Combal's game sometimes dragged on. Basically, the subject is the same: it is not a question of pitting the candidates against each other but of proposing a nice competition. "There is no career story or record company, we don't care about all that," promises Jarry, who wants viewers to get involved in the prediction game. “Today, we do everything to move forward, progress, win. It's a feel-good show, we're just here to have a good time, to be surprised or moved because there are incredible voices. "
"I wanted to live it well"
For Jarry, Good Singers is a first: the comedian had never been at the head of a premium program for TF1. Before the launch, stress is therefore at its peak. "It's not pressure, it's a hurricane of pressure," he says. I wanted to live up to the gift TF1 gave me. I wanted to live it well, to have fun and I'm waiting to know if people will like the program or not. "
Unlike his show, Titre , the animation of such a barnum leaves little room for improvisation. Even if he "took small windows to do some improvisation", Jarry also needed to reassure himself in his role as a performer. "We weren't completely in control of the format, we weren't sure how the heats were going to go," he said, acknowledging that the lack of audiences held him back somewhat. “When there are 15 people applauding, there is nothing to hit the walls either. I remain a stage man. If I had had 100 people in the audience, I think I would have let go of the horses a lot more, ”says the humorist.
Despite this beautiful exhibition as a bonus, Jarry does not intend to focus on animation in the future. "I don't have the animation codes at all and that interests me very little," he reveals. I'm a kid, I want to have fun. "If he immediately agreed to take orders for Good Singers , it is because the popular family program" corresponds to the values [he wants] to carry. This return to a television set is also a taste of the resumption of his show, scheduled for the end of September.
