The coronavirus is still circulating. In Brittany, a significant increase in the number of new cases was recorded this week. Since Friday, July 10, 110 new cases have been revealed by biological diagnosis, indicates the Regional Health Agency, against 14 the previous week. For the first time in weeks in the region, a new patient was placed in intensive care. There are currently three of them in all the establishments in the region, relatively untouched by the epidemic.

"In recent weeks, the monitoring indicators monitored daily at the regional level have been relatively stable but, since Friday, July 10, the number of cases tested positive for Covid-19 is increasing," specifies the ARS.

Finistère particularly affected

In its press release, it invites residents to maintain respect for barrier gestures, the only solution which "makes it possible to limit and break the chains of contamination". The agency recalls that many carriers of the virus "have no symptoms or only mild symptoms".

It is especially Finistère which is concerned by this push of Covid-19. Within a week, 48 infected people were diagnosed, bringing their total number to 703 in the department of Pointe Breton. Thirty new cases have also been recorded in Ille-et-Vilaine. Côtes d'Armor (13 new cases) and Morbihan (2 new cases) are less affected. It should also be noted that 15 people who do not live in Brittany have also been contaminated, while the summer season started with the weekend of July 14.
