In April of this year, the Ministry of Public Security deployed the national public security organs to carry out the "Cloud Sword-2020" operation, severely crack down on the management of telecommunications network fraud crimes, national asset defrosting fraud crimes, and further advance the homicide case.
Since the launch of the special operation, in the face of the complicated and severe situation of telecommunication network fraud crimes, public security agencies across the country have cracked more than 101,000 cases and arrested more than 92,000 suspects, up 73.7% and 78.4% year-on-year.
In the work of investigating and accumulating homicide cases, public security organs around the country have detected more than 2,600 accumulative cases of homicide cases, with the longest period of time being 41 years; arresting more than 2,200 fugitives accumulating homicide cases, and escaping for up to 37 years.
In response to fraud crimes involving the unfreezing of national assets, public security agencies around the country carried out centralized clean-up in key areas, smashing more than 290 fraud gangs and arresting more than 3,600 suspects.
