The rapper MHD, indicted and imprisoned since January 2019 for "intentional homicide" following a fatal brawl in Paris in the summer of 2018, was released Thursday under judicial supervision, AFP learned from concordant sources.

A source familiar with the matter told AFP that the musician's arrest warrant expired on Thursday, and his lawyer Me Elise Arfi confirmed that he had been released in the middle of the day. However, he could return to detention soon if the Paris Court of Appeal overturned an order on July 23 not to extend his pre-trial detention.
